Its valuable properties are not limited only to the taste and aroma it gives to food. Ginger is one of the most studied herbs, with a recognized value in the prevention of coronary heart disease. It lowers blood cholesterol levels and suppresses the biosynthesis of new cholesterol. In addition, it helps control blood sugar, lowers blood pressure and improves blood circulation. It is also famous for its healing effect, but also for its antioxidant, anticancer and immunoregulatory properties.

Green tea
Its beneficial effect on reducing blood lipids is due to the flavonoids it contains and especially to the catechins. It has been shown to inhibit the oxidation of "bad" (LDL) cholesterol, which has been associated with the risk of developing atherosclerosis, while at the same time preventing its absorption from the intestine. Black tea has also been shown to have a smaller effect on cholesterol. In fact, American research showed that it can reduce blood lipids up to 10% in just 3 weeks.

Caution: Avoid excessive consumption, because due to the caffeine it contains, it can cause an increase in pressure and tachycardia.
Mint
It is widely used in cooking as a flavoring, however it also has many medicinal properties. Mint is considered an ally for heart health, as it "blocks" the production of cholesterol in the liver, while at the same time facilitating the secretion of bile acids, which metabolize fats, a property due to its main ingredient, menthol.
