Sex and period: What women and men should know!
Some women don't even discuss it. Others wonder if period sex is allowed after all, or is it better to avoid it? Opinions differ.
But the main things you should keep in mind are:
-Menstrual bleeding may decrease and return after a few days
- Period pains may be reduced
- Menstrual cramps may also be reduced

Doctors say "do it"
If the woman is comfortable with this, then there is no problem in continuing to have sex on her period. It is completely normal and safe for both her and her partner.
You are likely to like it and even… a lot!
Sexual arousal is different for every woman and some may have a bad mood in general during their period, but also painful discomforts that make them not in the mood for sex. But for many other women, menstruation can be accompanied by a sudden increase in libido. This is because your estrogen and testosterone are low on day 1, but start to rise from day 3 onwards.
How to reduce blood stains…
Sex in the missionary position, with the woman lying on her back, can restrict blood flow. If you have sex towards the end of your period, your flow will be reduced anyway.
You can also get pregnant while you are on your period
Some women have periods that last longer than a week, and sometimes a woman's ovulation can overlap with her period. Also, sperm can live for 3 to 5 days.
If you're not trying to get pregnant, don't make the mistake of having sex on your period without precautions! Use the same precautions you normally use.
A second reason why a condom is necessary when you have sex during your period is that there is a greater risk of transmitting bacteria or sexually transmitted diseases during this phase. The cervix opens to let blood through creating a pathway that allows bacteria to travel deeper into the pelvic cavity. During the period the woman has a greater risk of developing fungal or bacterial infections as the pH of the vagina is more alkaline.
