Those who work from home are happier!

I read this research and wanted to share it with you as there are many of you who often express your feelings to me, asking me if it would be better to find a job that you could do from home or if it would be better for you to work from your sofa or continue to your workplace.

Obviously not everyone can have this - let's say - advantage as not all professions are the same.

But what if you could bring your workspace into your home?

So according to TINYpulse, people who work from home not only feel productive and that their work is valued, but the sense of independence and flexibility this form of work offers makes them happier.

200,000 workers participated in the survey, 509 of whom do not work from the office, but from their personal space. Questions could be answered with numbers from 1 to 10 (with 10 representing "very happy" and 1 "very unhappy").

So when asked, "How happy are you at your job?", remote workers answered (on average) 8, while the average for other workers was 7.42. At the same time, to the question "How much do you feel your work is valued?" the average of home workers was 7.75, while the average of the rest was 6.69.

Nevertheless, the socialization factor played its role in this particular survey as well, with home workers highlighting isolation from their partners as a disadvantage of their work.

Now the choice is yours… Obviously for a mother or someone who is alone, doesn't have much time, working from home is the best!
