This is how mold is treated indoors
THE mold can be developed anywhere in the home your. On carpet, on clothes, food, paper, and even in places you can't see, like behind drywall, inside the wall around pipes, and on top of ceiling tiles. Not only is it a costly problem that needs to be addressed immediately, but it puts your health at risk as it produces allergens and irritants.
The best approach to the problem is mold prevention. The key to prevention is moisture control.
The following tips will help you turn your home into a healthier and more environmentally friendly place away from disease and pollution:
– Check your home. Are there problem areas? Did the basement flood? Is there a water stain on the ceiling from a persistent leak? Preventing mold from growing or spreading could be as simple as throwing away the carpet in a damp basement or repairing any gutters. Whatever the case, address the issue now. It could cost some money, but it will certainly be more costly later if the mold continues to grow out of control.
– Even everyday incidents need attention: don't leave wet items in your spaces and always dry the floor and walls after a shower. Also, don't leave wet clothes in the washing machine. Spread them preferably outdoors or in areas with good air circulation.
– Monitor humidity: The indoor humidity should be between 30 and 60%. You can measure it with a hygrometer by detecting high humidity by paying attention to potential problem areas in your home. If you notice a build-up of moisture, dry the surface immediately and deal with the source of the problem.
Improve air flow in your home: To increase circulation, ventilate your space, move furniture away from walls and doors, leave closets open. Fresh air reduces humidity and prevents mold.
– Protect indoor plants from mold: Their moist soil is among the preferences of mold, which then spreads to other areas of your home. Instead of getting rid of your plants, try adding Taheebo tea to the water to save them. The oil of this tree, which even withstands fungi in tropical forests, prevents the growth of mold.
