SOS: Maybe you should start working less?
Most of us sacrifice the precious sleep us for the sake of our work. But those of you who do this, you should keep the following in mind research:
Middle-aged people who work long hours and often sacrifice sleep for the sake of their work tend to have worse health when they get older, according to a longtime Finnish scientific research.
The researchers, led by Dr Michaela Birgitta fon Bonsdorff of the University of the city Bitches, who made the relevant publication in the Journal of Aging "Age and Aging", according to the Reuters agency, analyzed in depth 25 years of data on the health of more than 3,000 men, professionals and entrepreneurs, both in their middle and third ages.
It was found that 45- and 50-year-olds who had the habit of working hard (more than 50 hours a week) and not sleeping enough (less than six and a half hours a day), when they became 65 and 70, had worse performance in physical functions, vitality and in their overall health, compared to those who worked less and slept more when they were middle-aged.
So pay attention to how many hours you work and how many hours you sleep and make sure to find a balance.
