UTI: Here's how to get relief
Many suffer from urinary tract infections, especially now in the summer.
To relieve pain caused by a urinary tract infection (such as cystitis), mix half a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water and drink it once or twice a day, according to gynecologist at Birmingham Women's Hospital Dr. J. Byrom. This solution changes the pH of the urine so you will have less "burning" symptoms in the area. A glass of cranberry juice twice a day can also help the condition. This juice contains substances that inhibit the action of E. coli, the bacterium that is often responsible for cystitis.
