30/7: International Friendship Day

THE International Friendship Day (International Day of Friendship) was established in 2011 by a decision of the UN General Assembly (A/RES/65/275) and is celebrated every year on July 30. 

The main beliefs of the initiators of the International Day of Friendship are that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals can bridge differences and contribute to the consolidation of peace on a global level.
