Everything you need to know about the proper care of your tattoo
Most of them also have a tattoo that adorns their body. But a tattoo also needs the necessary care.
So this is how to take care of the tattoo properly:
After you get the tattoo, a special film will be placed on you, which you must keep for about three hours. Do not remove the film earlier than the experts tell you.
The place where you got the tattoo is an open wound and like all wounds it needs care as it can get infected and you can get some kind of infection.
Take care of your tattoo with a special ointment.
There are many tattoo care ointments on the market that help regenerate the skin. You must apply the ointment for at least 15 days, morning and evening.
If you feel that you have applied too much ointment, you can remove it after 20-30 minutes by dabbing it with a piece of paper without rubbing the spot. If you feel the part of your skin dehydrated during the day or if it pulls you, apply ointment again to moisturize it.
Itchy tattoo
Every wound when it starts and feeds it makes you itch. A week after following the above instructions you will see a thin crust on your tattoo which you should not remove or scratch or carve.
How do you wash the tattoo?
Do not use a sponge on the tattoo. Use mild antibacterial soap and lukewarm or cold water. Hot water can open the pores of your skin and damage it.
If you want to take a bath with warm water, apply a layer of petroleum jelly (unscented) on the tattoo to make your tattoo waterproof and wipe the area by dabbing it with a soft towel.
Sun care
If you got your tattoo in summer, you need to take special care of it. Avoid exposing it to the sun, but if you have to, cover it well with sunscreen with a very high protection index. Avoid entering swimming pools since chlorine dehydrates the skin, but it would be good not to come into contact with sand or the sea for the first 15 days until the wound is well healed.
What you should avoid in the first few days
Avoid the sea and swimming pools as well as exposure to the sun. Sauna and solarium are prohibited. After the 15 days when the tattoo will have better integrated into your body you can do as usual with the exception of laser hair removal which will destroy the design.
