Baked apples in the oven - A recipe... a must every winter!
If you are holed up at home and enjoy carefree moments in front of the fireplace or under the covers, it is worth making this recipe.
On cold winter days, baked apples are a must!
Materials
- 4 apples
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp walnuts
- 2 tbsp raisins
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 30 grams of butter
- 3/4 fl. water or apple juice
Wash the apples first. With the special tool or a sharp knife, empty the pits, creating a pocket inside the apple for the filling to enter. At the base of the apple, leave enough flesh to keep the filling inside the baked apples.
Put the sugar, raisins, cinnamon and walnuts in a bowl.
We mix them.
Equalize the filling among the 4 apples.
Place a piece of butter on each apple.
Put the apples in a pan or ovenproof dish.
Pour the water or apple juice into the pan.
Put them in a preheated oven and bake them for about 35 minutes at 180 °C on the middle rack.
The baked apples are ready when they soften slightly and the sugar turns to caramel.
After taking them out of the oven, use a spoon to pour over them with the liquid (syrup) of the pan.
Let them cool or serve them warm with ice cream, yogurt or whipped cream.
