The 5 mistakes we make when brushing our teeth
There are many mistakes that are made while brushing your teeth and the bad thing is that even though some of you have grown up enough you don't recognize them as mistakes and keep doing them. What are these;
- We do not wet the toothbrush or toothpaste. Our goal is to stick the toothpaste onto the teeth directly, which in turn will absorb ingredients from it.
- Do not press the toothbrush too hard on the teeth and gums. There is a serious risk of wearing down our teeth. The toothbrush should work on the teeth and gums with light pressure.
- We don't stop brushing if any part of the gum bleeds. Bleeding gums during brushing indicate possible gingivitis. Brush more of what bleeds. Healthy gums do not bleed during brushing. In this case we must visit our dentist.
- We do not brush the outer and inner surfaces of the teeth perpendicular to them! As when we want to sand a piece of wood, without damaging it, the teeth also have a brushing direction and this is from the gums to the teeth and not vertically.
- We don't rinse our mouths hard and fast. The toothpaste washes off very easily, so the teeth do not have time to absorb the fluoride.
