Drying clothes inside the house: The serious risks for our health

The weather is now rainy and the clothes spread out on the balcony do not dry at all! Most housewives think they are doing well when they put their clothes out to dry inside the house especially when the radiator is on. But what's going on?

According to the survey, in the houses, where clothes dry inside, they have a lot more humidity. In fact, 1/3 of those who put their clothes inside the house, also have the windows closed. And this has as a consequence, the humidity to be at very high levels. Equally high is – according to a related study of 100 homes – the percentage of those who spread their clothes inside the house, reaching 87%.

This habit turns out to be particularly harmful, since according to this particular study, high levels of humidity favor the development of dust mites. A strong correlation of drying clothes with the spread of mold was also observed in many parts of the house. And the mold, also poses risks for human health, since it causes lung infections, mainly in people with a weakened immune system.

However, as the researchers emphasize, when we dry the clothes inside the house, we should have them in a room, with the door closed and the window open from the inside. And of course we don't put them on the bodies of the radiators!
