Homemade apple jam, ideal for… cravings
As I learn from friends, they have already started picking apples in the villages. What's better than having fresh apples and making delicious homemade jam perfect for morning and afternoon cravings. Now if you don't have a village or someone to bring you some apples from there, you can buy from your greengrocer.
If you can replace the dessert you would be eating with a slice of bread with jam, you would be doing the best for your body.
So how do we make ours? apple jam;
We will need:
- 1 kg of apples
- sugar
- 1/2 lemon (juice)
- 1 cinnamon stick
Friday:
Clean the apples and grate them on a coarse grater. Squeeze a little lemon on top so they don't turn black. We measure the apple shavings with a cup and use an equal amount of sugar.
Put the apple, sugar and cinnamon in a saucepan and simmer until the jam sets. Towards the end of boiling, squeeze half a lemon.
Our jam is ready. Place it in your jars!
