Sea chard: Properties and nutrients. Love it!

Swiss chard is one of the most popular Mediterranean vegetables. It is one of the most nutritious vegetables with important properties and is second only to spinach.
The plant contains betaine and betanin. Its root is rich in sucrose.
The chard is a perennial plant that reaches up to 50-60 cm. It is found almost everywhere in uncultivated and cultivated places. Its leaves are dark green glossy and its veins are white and thick.
Other names of the sedge are sedge or glicorrhizi.
Therapeutic properties:
– Contains betaine which favors the regeneration of liver cells and activates fat metabolism.
– It has a rejuvenating, softening and purgative effect.
– It is effective in inflammatory diseases of the urinary system.
– Contains betanin which stimulates the immune system.
– Helps regulate blood sugar.
– It is a very good source of protein
– They are famous for their content of calcium, magnesium and vitamin K, thus contributing to skeletal health.
– We can make a poultice from the leaves of the fennel that soothes wounds and baby eczema.

How to use it:
You can make broths and soups with chard and include this vegetable in your diet more in salads.
As a poultice of crushed leaves to which you can add a little almond oil if you want to fight skin problems.

Tip: Choose fresh chard with a bright green color, without black spots or yellowed leaves.
