Green Tea: All the Ways You Can Use It to Benefit You
Cosmetology considers it one of nature's most powerful weapons in the battle against time, as it has great antioxidant and antiaging properties. It also has toning and moisturizing properties for daily skin care.
It contains active ingredients, however, flavonoids, tannins, vitamin C, caffeine that make it important for our body.
So see how you can include green tea in your daily life:
• As a daily drink, for the immediate stimulation of the body.
• As a lotion after or whenever you feel the need to care for your skin
• In compresses, to stimulate the skin or to rest the eyes. Spray the compresses with green tea water and place them on the spots you want for 10-30'.
• In compresses with essential oils. For sensitive skin: Soak gauze pads in warm green tea water and lavender essential oil (1-2 drops) and place them on the skin. In 15' it will soothe redness and other irritations. For dry skin: Soak the gauze with green tea water and geranium essential oil (1-2 drops). In 15' your skin will be rejuvenated.
Caution: Recipes with essential oils are not for the eyes! Avoid!
• You can first apply your face mask (moisturizing or brightening) and on top place gauze soaked in green tea and on top of the gauze you can place fresh slices of fruit or vegetables (cucumber for stimulation and hydration, orange for radiance).
• Brew green tea leaves with water in a teapot, let the liquid settle and pour it into the bathtub. Relax and soak in water for 10-20'. You will enjoy it!
The process to make green tea water
Put green tea in a bag or plain leaves in boiling water that you have previously taken off the heat for 5-10'. Let the water cool and you are ready.
