Where are most germs hiding for kids?
THE American Health Organization posted one list with the most common places where germs hide and threaten her health of the children.
See what they are:
Floor
If there are food residues and grease on the floor, if it is dirty from shoes and animal footprints and especially if it is covered by carpets that collect dust, children are at risk of developing allergies and asthma attacks. The bathroom floor needs even more attention, as fungi and lichen can hide there.
Standing water
The little ones love splashing in the little puddles formed by the rain. However, they can grow mold and bacteria or be frequented by disease-carrying mosquitoes.
Toothbrush
The toothbrush is very high on the list. This is because when the sink is next to the toilet bowl, every time we pull the faucet, droplets are thrown onto the exposed toothbrush. The droplets are full of germs, which either enter the mouth directly when we brush our teeth or are transferred to our hands. For the best, keep the toothbrushes in a cabinet or make sure to clean them regularly with warm water and a little disinfectant liquid.
Pets
Animals and children are close friends and are almost impossible to separate. But pets can transfer bacteria, viruses and parasites to children through dirt, saliva or if they accidentally scratch them. Animals' toys and their bowls are a source of coliform bacteria - salmonella. That's why the next time children come into contact with their hamster or puppy, they should also wash their hands
School
Water coolers, dining areas and even the desks and computers themselves collect countless germs that can endanger children's health. It is important that schools have hand sanitizer dispensers, and that both desks and computer parts are regularly disinfected.
Hangers and cupboards
Lice "frequent" in these places, as children's clothes, caps and hats are piled up. In order to avoid the widespread transmission of lice, many schools abroad and some in Greece have lockers where each child can leave their belongings.
Playgrounds and sports areas
This is where most bacteria gather, with MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) being the most dangerous. The staph bacterium enters the body from abrasions that may be present on the skin, if they come into contact with shared towels or with another infected organism.
