Foods that enhance tanning

There are some foods that really boost your tan and I've tried them all. Who are they;

Carrots
The most well-known natural "tanner", carrots contain 87% of water and large amounts of beta-carotene which strengthens the elasticity of the skin, protecting it from irritation and dryness caused by the sun. They hydrate and help you tan evenly. Just be careful not to drink too much, because your color may turn a little orange.

Green tea
Green tea, mountain tea and sage counteract the adverse effects of UV radiation on the skin. Due to their polyphenols and antioxidant content, they help the production of melanin in the skin while at the same time protecting it. A cold green tea on hot days is what it takes to cool us down and tan us, so this time go for it!

Apricot
Apricots are rich in beta-carotene and lycopene and have an extremely strong antioxidant effect. Apricots contain about 15% of vitamin A that we need to get daily, this combination of vitamins will greatly enhance your tan.

Eggs
They contain plenty of vitamin A and amino acids that boost the production of melanin and vitamin B2, which is an excellent nutrient for the skin. Egg yolks in particular are one of the foods that help with tanning and should be consumed very often to get the desired effect. However, if you have a problem with your cholesterol, it is advisable to eat a maximum of 2 egg yolks per week.

Grilled food
Grilling food can help achieve the desired browning more quickly. When consuming grilled foods avoid citrus fruits, parsley and cardamom as they can be inhibiting agents for your skin to tan.

Fish
Fatty fish such as salmon, mackerel and trout contain a very high percentage of vitamin D and thus help both in the production of melanin and in the general protection of your skin. They are also rich in selenium and vitamins A and B2. Mackerel in particular contains approximately 56% of the necessary amount of vitamin B2 that the body must absorb. Salmon and trout follow.

Nuts
Almonds and peanuts are foods that boost melanin production in the body. The substance that gives them this property is tyrosine, which we can also find in sesame. It is also rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids which protect and enhance skin elasticity.
