Brown sugar and cocoa butter. Scrub for rough spots
You don't know what to use on the rough parts of your body. This recipe is quick to make, inexpensive, and does a great job on hardened areas.
The coarse grains of brown sugar easily remove dead cells, while vegetable butter, because it is rich in vitamins and lipids, softens and deeply nourishes the driest areas of the body. Cocoa butter or shea butter can be found or ordered at major pharmacies. Apply the mixture to heels, soles, knees and elbows and you will see a big difference.
You will need:
- 1½ spoons of brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons vegetable butter (preferably cocoa or shea)
- 3 drops essential oil with antiseptic properties (e.g. lavender, rosemary, peppermint, etc.)
Friday:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. After they become a uniform mixture, you apply it to the affected areas and massage with your fingers. From the first minute you will feel that your skin starts to soften, but continue rubbing for about 5-7 minutes.
When you're done, rinse off with water, preferably warm, which will soften your skin even more. (Extra tip: To keep your heels and soles soft longer, apply a moisturizer at night before bed and wear cotton socks.)
After the procedure, apply moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated.
