How many eggs do you eat at Easter?
As the custom "dictates" with the crunching of the eggs once again the consumption of the eggs will be great.
But how many eggs can we consume without having a problem?
A medium-sized egg contains about 186 mg of cholesterol, an amount that corresponds to 62% of the recommended daily intake for an adult.
In general, if you are healthy, do not consume more than 300 mg of cholesterol per day.
If you have diabetes, high cholesterol, or heart disease, limit your daily cholesterol intake to less than 200 mg per day. If you like eggs, eat only the whites which do not contain cholesterol.
According to all modern scientific evidence, it is perfectly safe to consume up to 3 eggs daily without any problems at all.
Caution: The above concerns healthy and relatively active people.
