Folliculitis, how to get rid of it...
THYLACITIDA
WHAT IS IT AND HOW CAN WE DEAL WITH IT
How many times after waxing or shaving do not small red unsightly pimples appear on the body or face? This phenomenon is called folliculitis and it is inflammation in the hair follicle. In most cases, a microbe is to blame. Its symptoms are skin irritation, redness of the infected area and pimples with pus that have hair inside them. It is divided into two types, the superficial folliculitis that we have a superficial pustule with pus and the hair is visible and the painful folliculitis, in which the inflammation has swelled, the spot has hardened, the hair is no longer visible and we have a lot of pus and it hurts. If we have the mild case then the symptoms will last 3-5 days and will weaken on their own. But we can help the irritation with some antiseptic lotion and some antibiotic-cortisone cream. If we have the second case and depending on how serious the case is, opening and removal of the pus, use of antiseptic solutions and antibiotic creams, and even the administration of oral antibiotics are required.
PREVENTION
- The scrub helps a lot with folliculitis.
- If you shave, change the blades after 2-3 shaves.
- Avoid very tight and synthetic clothes because the friction cuts the hairs and causes irritation.
- After waxing, wipe the area with alcohol or antiseptic lotion.
- Whether you are shaving or waxing, we always shave or remove hair from the opposite side.
