HERBS, for beauty & energy

Nature is the greatest pharmacy. There are herbal products with ingredients beneficial to our health at every level. People have long known the healing properties of some herbs and they used them accordingly. Later chemical industries isolated these components and created chemical formulations in laboratories. There are herbs whose ingredients soothe pain, while others treat skin diseases. Also some others perfume or help with beauty and aesthetics. In the following lines we present some herbs and their properties.

Health and beauty

Calendula:  herb with valuable healing properties. It has a healing effect, helps with skin fungal infections and soothes irritated eyes if used as a compress. In aesthetics, it is used against wrinkles and stretch marks.

Sage: It is found everywhere in Greece. Its decoction stimulates the body and is soothing for stomach pains. It also acts as a softener for dry throats and is highly diuretic.

Mountain Tea: It stimulates the body and has detoxifying properties. Its decoction is particularly soothing for the throat and is recommended for people with respiratory problems.

Peppermint : Herb used in cooking ideal for treating digestive disorders. Its decoction is refreshing for the breath, helps with skin problems, lowers fever and helps with headache and migraines. It has been found that in aesthetics it has anti-cellulite and anti-wrinkle properties.

Chamomile: Medicinal herb, found everywhere in Greece. It is ideal for stomach problems and effective for sore throats and colds. Strengthens and stimulates the body. It is soothing for burns, skin problems and relieves the skin.

Herbs for hay fever and colds: (in decoction) rosemary, echinacea, lavender, ponji, thyme, eucalyptus, mint, chamomile, mountain tea

Herbs for Eczema: (in tincture) rosemary, nettle, sage

Herbal tonic for the skin on the face: (in tincture or compress) linden, mint, chamomile, cardamom.

Herbs for obesity and cellulite: (in decoction) lovage, valerian, fennel, chamomile, mountain tea, ginger

Herbs for stress and headaches: (in decoction or tincture) chamomile, peppermint, eucalyptus

Herbs for lush hair: (in compress form) cardamom, sage, rosemary (also for dandruff)
