This bad habit is worse for our health than smoking
Everyone must finally understand that in gym we don't go just to be the appearance us flawless. A fit body is not the only reason to walk through the doors of the gym.
According to older investigations, 10% of deaths are related to inactivity - a rate that exceeds that of deaths from smoking.
Researchers at Harvard Medical School published a study, according to which, in 2010, the number of deaths from causes such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and some forms of cancer are related to the lack of sports activity. Deaths from these causes reached 5.3 million, with those due to smoking no more than 5 million. Increasing sporting activity by 10% worldwide would reduce the death rate by 553,000 per year.
There are other additional studies that prove that the inaction it can be proved deadly and therefore the more we can move every day the better. Even if you walk at least 30 minutes on the treadmill or elliptical every day, it's a good idea to walk more and take regular breaks at the office to get up and move, even just a little.
