You should never put these materials on your face!
Everyday on the internet you read countless beauty recipes but unfortunately not all of them are good for your skin.
The fact that they are on the internet does not mean that they are correct, effective and valid.
You should keep in mind that the face is much more sensitive than the rest of the body, which means that it is not possible that the recipes we make for our body are also suitable for our face.
So what are the materials you CANNOT put on your face?
– Toothpaste: It can really dry out the skin and deal with acne pimples to some extent, excessive use of it will irritate the skin and could cause serious problems such as minor chemical burns or scarring. It is preferable to use tea tree essential oil instead of toothpaste.
- Body milk : It is designed for the body, not the face. Body lotions contain more fragrances and less moisturizing ingredients. This does not mean that all body lotions are harmful to the face.
– Vaseline: Vaseline is often used to moisturize dry or cracked skin, but it is not the right solution for the face. When you first apply petroleum jelly to your face, you may feel that it moisturizes and softens your skin, but at the same time, it traps dirt and other micro-particles in your pores, leading to breakouts and ultimately, more dryness.
- Hairspray: It is usually referred to in recipes dealing with acne. Hairspray will dry out your skin yes, but it will also clog your pores and lead to re-irritation.
Warm-hot water: Very hot water will strip moisture from your skin, soften the skin's natural oils and remove the protective barrier that holds/locks moisture in the skin. This causes more dryness. If you have oily skin, of course, this increased dryness will cause your skin to produce even more sebum (natural oil) and thus become even oilier.
