The secret of sterilizing jars
You just made one jam and you want to put it in the glass jars. Do you know what the correct procedure is?
The process sterilization of the jars for the good preservation of the jam is as follows:
Wash the jars and lids very well with warm water and soap. We wipe them. Spread a towel on the oven rack. Place the jars and lids there and close the oven. We turn it on at 150 degrees C, on the resistances, for 15 minutes. As soon as we take out the jars, hot as they are, fill them with the hot jam up to the top, pour out, and seal with the lids. We turn them upside down with the lids resting on the counter until the jars cool down. We keep them in the cupboard for months.
But be careful! When we open a jam, then we keep it in the refrigerator.
